The 2024 Lyrarakis Assyrtiko Vidiano Orange Wine from Crete is a skin contact blend of 50 percent Assyrtiko and 50 percent Vidiano grown in high altitude vineyards. The grapes are macerated on their skins for about 12 days before fermentation, giving the wine a light amber hue and textured complexity.

Aromas include stone fruit like peach and apricot, citrus peel, and a mineral, wet stone character.

On the palate it is dry, with bright acidity, mild tannins, and a persistent, mineral tinged finish. It pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, herb roasted chicken, or olive oil based vegetable dishes and is best served chilled around 50 to 54 degrees Fahrenheit.
