2024 Longavi Glup Naranjo Moscatel

The 2024 Longavi “Glup! Naranjo” Moscatel from Chile’s Itata Valley is an expressive orange wine crafted by Longavi, a collaboration between Chilean winemaker Julio Bouchon and South African winemaker David Nieuwoudt, focused on old-vine, organically farmed vineyards and minimal-intervention techniques.

Made from 100% Moscatel grown on granitic soils and fermented with extended skin contact in amphora, the wine develops a vibrant amber hue and aromatic intensity, showing notes of lychee, mandarin, elderflower, wild herbs, and citrus peel with a lightly spicy, floral lift.

On the palate it is dry yet textured, with bright acidity, subtle tannic grip from the skins, and a fresh, mineral-tinged finish that balances its aromatic richness.

This distinctive orange wine pairs beautifully with dishes like grilled octopus, ceviche, spiced Asian cuisine, or aged goat cheese, and is best enjoyed slightly chilled to highlight both its freshness and complexity.
