The 2023 Tasca d’Almerita Mozia Grillo is crafted on the windswept, salt-rich island of Mozia in the lagoon near Marsala, Sicily, where sandy limestone soils give this 100 % Grillo its distinctive character. Fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures and matured on fine lees for five months, it captures both the freshness of the sea and the depth of its unique terroir. The wine shows a luminous straw-yellow color and a lively bouquet of citrus zest, white flowers, mint, and a touch of white pepper, all lifted by subtle saline and marine notes. On the palate, it is crisp and vibrant, with refreshing acidity and a clean mineral tension that leads to a savory, lingering finish.
