2023 One Stone Cellars Rosé of Pinot Noir, Central Coast

One Stone Cellars is a project from Ancient Peaks Winery, created to support Dream Big Darling, a nonprofit mentoring women in the wine and spirits industry. The wines celebrate strength, elegance, and the unique expression of the Central Coast region.

This rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from select vineyard sites across the Central Coast, including Paso Robles and Santa Margarita Ranch. The grapes are destemmed and lightly pressed to create a fresh, vibrant rosé. Fermentation occurs at cool temperatures over about 15 days, and the wine is aged in stainless steel for roughly four months to maintain freshness and bright fruit character.

On the nose, it shows bright aromas of strawberry, watermelon, delicate floral notes like orange blossom, and a subtle mineral lift. The palate is crisp and juicy, with flavors of red fruits such as strawberry and peach, balanced by citrus hints and refreshing acidity. The finish is clean, lively, and refreshing, with lingering fruit and a slight saline minerality.

The alcohol content is approximately 13.5%, and the wine is bottled with a screw cap closure to preserve freshness.
