2023 Kosta Browne One Sixteen Chardonnay

A benchmark California Chardonnay, the 2023 “One Sixteen” from Kosta Browne showcases the winery’s signature balance of richness and precision. Sourced from premier Russian River Valley vineyards, this cuvée reflects the region’s cool-climate influence, delivering vibrant acidity alongside layered, expressive fruit.

The aromatics are vivid and inviting, revealing notes of Meyer lemon, ripe pear, and golden apple interwoven with white flowers, citrus blossom, and a touch of toasted brioche. Hints of vanilla bean, wet stone, and lightly roasted hazelnut emerge with air, adding depth and nuance.

On the palate, the wine is supple and beautifully textured, with a creamy mid-palate balanced by bright acidity. Flavors of lemon curd, baked orchard fruit, and subtle oak spice unfold seamlessly, leading to a clean, mineral-driven finish with lingering notes of citrus zest and almond.
