2023 Karas Kraki Ktor, Armavir, Armenia

Karas Wines, located in Armenia’s Armavir region, is a family-owned estate dedicated to sustainable farming and the revival of Armenia’s ancient winemaking heritage through modern technology.

The 2023 Karas Kraki Ktor is crafted from the indigenous Kangun grape grown on volcanic soils in the Ararat Valley. 

The wine is made with minimal intervention, fermented on the skins and bottled unfiltered to highlight its natural character. It shows notes of orange peel, quince, dried apricot, wild herbs, and subtle tea-like tannins.

On the palate, it’s textured and vibrant with refreshing acidity and a savory mineral edge. It pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, grilled poultry, fatty fish, and aged cheeses.
