2023 Hendry Barrel Fermented Chardonnay, Napa Valley

The 2023 Hendry Barrel Fermented Chardonnay, Napa Valley is a richly textured yet beautifully balanced Chardonnay sourced from Hendry’s historic estate vineyards at the base of Mt. Veeder, where old vines and moderate yields produce fruit of exceptional concentration.

Barrel fermented and aged for approximately 11 months in French oak, including a portion of new barrels, the wine combines classic Napa generosity with freshness and restraint.

Aromas of baked apple, lemon tart, pear, white flowers, and toasted oak are complemented by subtle notes of honey, vanilla, and toasted marshmallow.

On the palate, it is silky and medium-to-full bodied, offering flavors of ripe orchard fruit, citrus, and a distinctive saline minerality framed by integrated oak and vibrant acidity.

The finish is long, polished, and elegant, making it an excellent match for seared scallops, roasted chicken, grilled salmon, lobster, or creamy pasta dishes.
