2023 Domaine Rougeot Bourgogne Cote d'Or La Monatine

La Monatine is at the bottom of the village of Meursault, right next to Rougeot's famous holdings in Sous la Velle. This Bourgogne Blanc lieu-dit makes supple and accessible wines.

Hand-harvested grapes are pressed whole-bunch, and the juice is allowed to cold settle for a few days before beginning fermentation with indigenous yeasts in neutral barrels. The wine is aged on fine lees with no stirring to maintain purity. 

2023 is the first vintage at the winery to officially be demeter certified.
