2023 Domaine Alain Chavy Bourgogne Chardonnay

The 2023 Domaine Alain Chavy Bourgogne Chardonnay is a white Burgundy from vines in the Mâconnais and Côte d’Or where Alain Chavy focuses on balanced, thoughtful viticulture and gentle, traditional winemaking. The wine is made entirely from Chardonnay, harvested at just the right ripeness to capture fresh fruit and minerality, and fermented and aged in older French oak and stainless steel to preserve purity and expression of site without heavy oak influence.

On the nose it shows bright aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, ripe pear and a hint of stone fruits with subtle toasty nuance.

The palate is medium-bodied and lively, with crisp acidity, flavors of lemon, white peach and a touch of creaminess from lees contact, finishing clean and refreshing with a chalky mineral thread.

This Chardonnay pairs well with grilled fish, seafood pasta, roasted chicken with herbs, creamy soft cheeses or simply enjoyed on its own.
