The 2023 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, a compelling blend of Napa Valley's valley floor richness and Atlas Peak's mountain intensity, presents a powerful yet elegant profile. At 15.3% alcohol, the wine opens with a bold bouquet of ripe black cherry and cassis, layered with hints of dark chocolate, cedar, and crushed violet. The valley floor fruit contributes opulent, plush textures and concentrated dark fruit, while the Atlas Peak component lends structure, firm tannins, and a distinctive minerality. The well-integrated oak nuances of vanilla and spice complement the wine's robust character, leading to a long, lingering finish that showcases the exceptional balance achieved from this carefully crafted blend.
The wines are crafted by winemaker Morgan Maureze, who trained under Andy Erickson (known for Favia and Screaming Eagle) and now leads Seven Apart.
The 2023 vintage benefited from one of Napa Valley's longest growing seasons in over a decade, with consistent mild weather, above-average yields, and extended hang time.
