2022 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars 'S.L.V' Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

The 2022 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars “S.L.V.” Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley comes from the historic Stag’s Leap Vineyard, the estate’s original site that gained international fame after its 1973 vintage won the red-wine category at the 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on volcanic soils and aged about 20 months in new French oak, the wine shows layered aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, violet, graphite, and dark chocolate with hints of black tea and espresso.

The palate is full-bodied and richly textured with concentrated dark fruit, polished tannins, and a mineral backbone that adds depth and structure, finishing long and complex. Its power and elegance make it an excellent match for grilled steaks, duck confit, mushroom dishes, or hearty pasta, and it has the structure to age gracefully for many years.
