The 2022 Honig Vineyard & Winery Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is a polished and full-bodied wine crafted by the family-owned Honig winery, which has been sustainably farming its Rutherford vineyard since the 1960s under Michael Honig’s leadership. Composed of about 92% Cabernet Sauvignon with small portions of Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Syrah. The wine delivers rich aromas of blackberry, kirsch, and hints of dried flowers and walnuts. The palate is lush yet structured, with deep fruit flavor—blackberry, cherry, and cassis—intertwined with vanilla and spice, supported by firm tannins and bright acidity that carry through to a lingering finish. It’s ideal alongside hearty fare such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, mushroom-risotto, or sharp aged cheeses.
