Founded in 1720 through the marriage of Jacques de Bergeron and Marie Dejean, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou has a rich legacy of winemaking. Bertrand Ducru acquired the estate in 1797, making significant improvements that led to its classification as a Second Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The Borie family took ownership in 1942, beginning a new chapter of restoration and excellence.

The 2016 Le Petit Caillou Saint-Julien is a refined Left Bank Bordeaux blend highlighting the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc. Sourced from gravelly soils in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, it reflects traditional Médoc craftsmanship and meticulous vineyard care.

Aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and dried violet mingle with hints of cedar, graphite, and subtle spice. The palate is structured yet silky, with fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity leading to a long, polished finish. Ideal with roast lamb, grilled ribeye, mushroom dishes, or aged hard cheeses.

"This is made from the young vines of the Borie properties in Saint-Julien. It is sophisticated and ripe, with attractive juiciness and red cherry fruit. This is a wine that has much of the style of appellation without great structure or density."
