2016 Cantine Russo Taurasi Grandilla Falanghina Campania IGT

The 2016 Cantine Russo “Grandilla” Falanghina (Campania IGT) is crafted from 100 % Falanghina sourced from top hillside sites in the Sannio region of Campania.

The wine displays a pale golden straw colour with delicate aromas of broom flower (ginestra), pineapple and apricot, underpinned by spicy notes of cinnamon and toasted hazelnut—its mineral thread elegantly drawing through the mid‑palate.

On the palate the wine is fresh yet rounded, with a crisp acidity balanced by a savoury mineral frame and a lingering finish that evokes lemon‑zest, white‑flesh fruit and subtle almond.

This Falanghina pairs beautifully with seafood risotto, grilled sea bream with herbs, fresh goat’s cheese or lightly spiced pasta dishes—and while beautifully drinkable now, it holds very well for further short‑term ageing.
