2015 Firesteed Cellars Citation W3 Chardonnay

The 2015 Firesteed Cellars Citation W3 Chardonnay comes from select high-elevation and old-vine sites in Oregon, including the Blue Mountains foothills and Erratic Oaks Vineyard in the Willamette Valley. The grapes were whole-cluster pressed, barrel-fermented, and aged for 12 months in French oak, about 15% new.

The wine opens with aromas of citrus, ripe pear, and tropical fruit layered with notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and toasted oak.

On the palate it is rich and creamy with balanced acidity, offering flavors of baked apple, spice, and a touch of minerality on the long finish. 

It pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, buttery seafood dishes, or creamy pastas.
