The 2010 Domaine Jean‑Jacques Confuron Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru is a richly composed Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most prestigious climats in the Côte de Nuits. Sourced from vines averaging 55-60 years of age and laboriously managed with organic practices, this wine shows deep ruby hue and opens with elegant aromas of cool cherry, red currant, wild raspberry and a layer of exotic spice, rose petal and forest floor.
It offers a medium-to-full body, fine yet firm tannins, vibrant acidity and a focused mineral core that guides a long, serious finish.
This is a classic RSV built for longevity: best enjoyed after a good decant, it is currently entering a very compelling drinking window and will continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade if cellared properly. Ideal food matches include roasted duck with cherries, venison saddle with juniper berries, truffle-infused dishes or aged Comté—meals that will stand up to the wine’s intensity while allowing its finesse and depth to shine.
