1999 Salon Cuvee 'S' Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs Brut

Salon's 1999 is widely considered one of the greatest Champagnes of the modern era — a single terroir, the Côte des Blancs, a single cru village, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.

Released after two decades of aging, it arrived with immediate critical fanfare and has only continued to evolve. Produced exclusively from grand cru Le Mesnil-sur-Oger Chardonnay in a style of austere, mineral-driven precision, the 1999 balances breathtaking tension with extraordinary generosity: compressed lemon, white peach, crushed chalk, toasted brioche, and a saline finish of extraordinary length. Salon is produced in minuscule quantities; opportunities to acquire aged vintages are exceptionally rare.
