Conceived by a group of Tropezian friends during a game of pétanque on Place des Lices, Pastis 12/12 is an artisanal pastis made with plants from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Its original recipe is inspired by a local tradition and contains macerations of almonds, figs and orange blossom.

handcrafted production in a historic distillery in Provence

Pastis 12/12 is produced at the Cristal Limiñana family distillery, the oldest distillery in Marseille (1884) and one of the few still in operation in the Phocean city.

The first step in creating Pastis 12/12 is the distillation of star anise in column stills, followed by a series of macerations of various carefully selected herbs and spices. These herbs and spices are dried and then macerated in a specific order to extract their aromatic properties.

A note of almonds completes the blend. This succession of distillates and macerations is filtered multiple times and refined to reach 45% alcohol.

Nose
Bright, veiled coppery color, with a beautiful, powerful nose rich in licorice, star anise, and candied fruits.

Mouth
Beautiful balance in a particularly smooth pastis that retains its Mediterranean character.

Finish
Fresh, tangy finish with subtle hints of almonds that subtly evoke the Mauresque.
