2019 San Francisco World Spirits Gold Medal Winner
Dating back to the 16th century, distillers in Poland harvested aromatic bison grass from the lush Bialowieza Forest to flavor their vodka. They named the spirit “Zubrowka” in tribute to the bison (“zubr” in Polish) that were fond of the sweet-tasting grass. Today, wild bison still roam the forest, and the bison grass is still hand-harvested and used to create Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka, which is recognized around the world for its unique and delicious taste with notes of almond, vanilla, coconut, and lavender. Each bottle contains a blade of the famed bison grass. While Zubrowka Bison Grass is often included by mixologists in complex drinks, it is also excellent simply mixed with apple juice, apple cider, ginger ale or coconut water.
Wonderfully complex aromas with hints of chamomile, green apples, vanilla and almonds. Creamy vanilla and soft spice flavor with a smooth mouth feel. Finishes soft with a hint of spring flowers.
