    Product description

Green & Red Vineyard, named for its red iron soils veined with green serpentine, is located in the steep hills on the east side of Napa Valley. The planting was started in 1972 on ground originally in vineyards in the 1890’s. The vineyards are a small percentage of the 200-acre property, which ranges in elevation from 900 to 2,000 feet.

The vines come from the Catacula Vineyard - Named for the historic Rancho Catacula, originally planted in the late 1800s; East facing hillside terraces at 1,200 to 1,400 feet in elevation; Surrounded by Madrone groves and blanketed by the morning fog; 1.71 acres, 1651 vines

100% whole cluster pressed Sauvignon Blanc Musqué clone. The juice was fermented in a combination of approximately half stainless steel and half neutral oak barrels, using just ONE new Tonnellerie Ermitage French oak barrel. This displays citrus, lychee, and flint, with a welcome touch of macadamia showcasing its time spent on the lees.
