2021 Dunham Cellars Blushing Bear' Rosé | Columbia Valley, Washington
Inspired by the classic Bandol rosés of Provence, this 76% Grenache and 24% Mourvedre blend is fresh and aromatic, with notes of wild strawberries, white peach and guava. Whole cluster pressed grapes were fermented and aged in stainless steel for five months which delivers a fresh and lively finish.
Pair with veggie skewers, chicken sausages, and charcuterie plates.
2020 Zilliken Forstmeister Geltz Riesling Spätlese | Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany
Rich in fruity and floral aromas, made lively by the tangy notes.
On the palate it is concentrated, but light and slender, well balanced and very fine; the fruity aromas are perfectly in harmony with the fine acidity and deep minerality. A juicy, inviting wine with a long persistence.
2017 Booker Oublié | Paso Robles, California
The 2017 Oublié is a blockbuster, ranking with the finest wines in the vintage. Based on 56% Grenache, 22% Mourvèdre, 22% Syrah, brought up in 50% neutral barrels, its vivid purple color is followed by a full-bodied, powerful, yet elegant red that has a great nose of cassis, blackberries, white flowers, leafy herbs, and hints of pepper. It packs some muscle yet stays flawlessly balanced.
2019 Domaine de Chateaumar "Secret de Nos Vignes" Chateauneuf-du-Pape | Rhone Valley, France
The grapes for this blend are always 70% Grenache and 30% Mourvedre, coming from 60-80 year old vines.
For fans of old school Chateauneuf du Pape and even fans of Bandol, this wine is for you. The nose displays fruit aromas and spice with hints of smoke and anise. The palate is dark and rich with dark berry, roasted plum, hints of wild herbs and chocolate. The finish keeps the plums and anise going with a touch of black olive.
