Product description
Made from 50-60 year old Savatiano vines of Attica, one of the oldest grape varieties in the world going back about 2500 years. The grapes were fermented using only indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, with 24 hours on the skins. Only a pinch - 10ppm - of sulphur was added before bottling.
This incredibly complex wine exudes a ripe tropical fruitiness on the palate with aromas of fresh bread and pineapple on the nose. Freshly cooked fruit preserves hide in the background. Minerality is quite lovely here, and it would be perfect with strong cheeses, mushroom based dishes, and seafood.
