The grapes for this stellar Sauvignon Blanc comes from La Rota vineyards between Panzano (Chianti Classico) and Arezzo (Chianti Colli Fiorentini). It is fermented and aged in terracotta amphora, large tonneaux, and stainless steel for 6 months with indigenous yeasts.
This wine is gives off tropical fruits - pineapple, mango - as well as the terroir that Fontodi wines always brings; herbs, basil, and and a savoriness that immediately wants to me us concoct a white sauce pizza or grill some haddock.
