1989 Vignerons de Baixas-Dom Brial Rivesaltes Grande Reserve

1989 Vignerons de Baixas-Dom Brial Rivesaltes Grande Reserve

    Product description

The vineyard is named after its original founder, Father Dom Brial, who first planted this site in the 1700’s.  Located in Roussillon near the Mediterranean, between the foothills of the Pyrenees and the Corbieres, the terroir is unique with soil composition of red clay, limestone slopes, schist and granite.

This wine is a genuine Roussillon specialty discovered in 1285 by a doctor at the Royal Court of the Kings of Majorca.  The wines are made according to the rigorous process of adding neutral spirits to the grape must during the alcoholic fermentation.

"Nose with fruit notes like dried apricot and yellow peach jam, mixed with vanilla and coconut notes. Nice vintage, complex aromas from coffee to tobacco, even nuts and soft spices. Tasting is very fine, well balanced and nice freshness. Nuts aromas for the final notes too" - Winemaker notes
